Roland was born in Rotterdam /Netherlands. With his father being professional Jazz drummer, music always played a big part in his life. At the early age of 7 he began playing the piano, followed by the drums at 15. His passion for music grew and soon he joined his own band. They rehearsed in his parent's basement and at several parties and events in Bonn and Cologne.

He grew up to the sounds of Soul, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop and Pop which have influenced his style of music.

"Anyone who grew up with this music can count themselves lucky. Together with classical music, these styles come togerther in the music we produce today".

In the early nineties he first came in contact with House and Techno. Having largely played Mainstream/Club sound at various gigs throughout Bonn/Cologne he started playing more house tracks into his sets. Fascinated about electronic music he decided to study audio-engineer in Frankfurt. From now on he started experimenting with his own studio gear making his own tracks.

"In the nineties everything was external. Samplers, synths, effects and a Mackie mixer were packed in my studio room. Today the computer is the centre with only a few external components left."

After a few years of intense working together with his studio mate Chris he now concentrates on producing his own tracks with future
releases on Wrong-Recordings and of course Taboo-Recordings.
